unique northern virginia engagement session.

gracie + nicholas

The date was March 12th, 1963. Kidding, but looking at their photos, who can tell the difference? When I first drove through Occoquan Historic District last fall, I immediately fell in love and knew I had to do a couples shoot here ASAP. When Gracie + Nicholas said they were down to do a vintage engagement shoot with me, I jumped on the opportunity and immediately started dreaming up their dream session. These two were a dream couple and everything a photographer hopes for. They were down-to-earth and were completely happy walking around this cutie little town together, stopping at coffee shop windows, watching eagles fly from the boardwalk, and even posing with a funky metal dragon. They started the the day strolling through town, holding hands, and ended the day writing love letters to each other. It was seriously the sweetest thing and I couldn't have asked for a better day with them. We were initially worried about the rain, but for what? The moody weather and skies were perfection for our Sunday afternoon stroll. This is Springtime in Virginia after all. Gracie even brought her film camera and snapped a few photos of her lover during our shoot. If you are envisioning a casual date like this with your lover for engagement photos or just because, then reach out to me via my contact form asap as I would love to document your love in this candid and documentary way.
