I’m Alex McCormick, a Northern Virginia wedding photographer. My love for photography was inspired by cherished family photographs and the memories they hold. Having experienced firsthand how fragile life can be, I understand the profound value of preserving those memories through images.
To me, wedding days are like Super Bowl Sunday or the final show of a musical. There are big moments to look forward to, but just as much beauty exists in the quiet ones—the steam rising from your morning coffee, a butterfly drifting from flower to flower, or the way your partner reaches for your hand without thinking.
Time is a thief, and your wedding day will fly by. I believe in slowing down enough to notice it all and preserving not just how your day looked, but how it felt.

Alex did an incredible job photographing our wedding!! My husband originally found Alex to photograph his proposal and we loved the photos so much we had to go with her for the big day! We are so glad that we did! She was so wonderful and easy to work with throughout the entire planning process and was very reassuring and super open to our style and what we were looking to get out of our pictures. On the wedding day she was incredible and worked so hard to make sure we had every inspiration photo that we had mentioned to her. From first look, family portraits, sunset photos, and dance floor photos - she made sure every part of the day was captured perfectly! When we got the photos back (very quickly!) they completely exceeded expectations and Alex even sent us physical printouts of some of her favorite photos as well as an adorable Polaroid photo book! Alex is amazing to work with and the end result is just as amazing as she is!! Thank you Alex!!!

I can't share enough how awesome Alex is. She was a dream to work with and we couldn't have asked for a better photographer. My husband was so nervous about being in front of the camera but repeatedly told me how comfortable he felt with her. My bridesmaids and I had so much fun with her during getting ready photos as well! If you want someone who will not only get all the classic shots you want on your wedding day, but also blend into the wedding party to capture all the most natural, hidden, candid moments, Alex is your girl. She pays attention to the details and your vision, and lets you lead the theme for the day. Her film photos give you the vintage feel, and capture genuine moments. YES. Highly recommend Alex and all her greatness. My partner and I really got to enjoy our day without falling into the pressures and stresses of the “photoshoot”. It really was Alex that made us feel comfortable and enjoy the moment, especially in front of the camera. Alex was accommodating to our non-traditional day and we even got to include our pups for a part of our session! Our gallery came back very quickly and we LOVE the photos. The pictures are equally timeless and stylish, definitely not something that will go out of style in five years. My partner and I will have a hard time choosing which photos to print!

ALEX! What an amazing, talented, kind, and graceful photographer. I hate having my picture taken and was dreading a day of pictures, but Alex made it such a fun experience. I felt so comfortable working with her and she did such a stunning job capturing the day. She was able to make me and my now husband feel at ease and have fun with the experience. She also got us the final pictures at jaw dropping speed! Based on past experiences with friends and family, I was expecting to wait months for the final results, but here I am writing a review less than a week later and we have already had the pictures for a few days. I had been seeing fun bridal shoots on my Tik Tok and had been wanting to throw my wedding dress on again to do one! I’m going to attach a couple photos and let them do all the talking, but the shoot I had with Alex was a once in a lifetime shoot. Not only did she make me feel EXTREMELY comfortable shooting on my own, but she was the type of fun that made me think we could be best friends and to this day, I still go back and look at them once a week.
